Truck loaded with limestone catches fire on Mato Grosso highway

The Fire Department was called this morning to fight a fire in a trailer on the MT-358, near Tangará da Serra (241 kilometers from Cuiabá). At the scene, the military found the cargo vehicle on fire, with the mechanical horse and the first wagon being affected by the fire.

The team began work to control the fire, using specialized techniques and appropriate equipment. The truck was transporting a load of limestone, which required special care when fighting the fire, according to the team.

To effectively combat the flames, firefighters created a safe area to use Foam Generating Liquid (LGE) in the fuel tanks, to extinguish the flames, avoiding possible explosions and minimizing damage caused by the fire.

During the fight, firefighters managed to completely save the second wagon of the trailer and partially the rear part of the first wagon. After extinguishing the flames, firefighters cooled the vehicle and carried out the aftermath, which consisted of eliminating any remaining fires. There were no injuries.
