A Federal Police operation in partnership with the Civil, Military and Penal police carried out 23 arrest warrants and 36 search and seizure warrants against a group suspected of threatening to kill authorities in Tocantins. According to the PF, the threats were directed at a judge, a prosecutor and military and criminal police officers in Dianópolis, in the southeast region of the state.

The warrants are being served this Friday morning (3) in Dianópolis, Palmas, Dueré, Cariri do Tocantins, Porto Alegre do Tocantins, Rio Verde (GO), Formosa (GO) and Imperatriz/MA, issued by the Criminal Court of Dianopolis.

According to the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime in Tocantins (FICCO/TO), the criminal investigation began on February 2024. The police found that a faction, which operates throughout Brazilian territory, issued orders through messages known as “salves”, so that its members could execute the plan and comply with the leadership’s orders.
