Man is beaten to death in Feira de Santana bar

A 40-year-old man was beaten to death after an argument in a bar, on Wednesday (1st), in the city of Feira de Santana, 100 kilometers from Salvador. The crime took place in the Tanque da Nação neighborhood.

According to the Civil Police, the victim, identified as Genivaldo Teixeira dos Santos, was beaten after being hit by a flying ball and falling to the ground. The crime suspect fled. The investigation confirmed that it already has the identification of the attacker and is looking for the suspect.

Police did not elaborate on what led to the argument. The crime is investigated by the Feira de Santana police station.

By the end of April, Feira de Santana recorded 112 homicides. According to the municipality’s Civil Police, there was a 13% reduction compared to the same period last year.

The murder of Genivaldo Teixeira was the first recorded this month of May in the city.
