Semadesc (State Secretariat for the Environment, Development, Science, Technology and Innovation) will sign an agreement worth R$ 1.6 million with Fiems (Federation of Industries of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul) to promote new businesses and expose the attractions of State. The agreement was published in the Official State Gazette, this Thursday (2).

The resource will be allocated through Pró-Desenvolve (State Pro-Economic Development Fund) and is valid until August 30th of this year. The counterpart will be R$86.1 thousand, totaling R$1.7 million.

The objective is to prospect for potential economic partners that correspond to the business profile of Mato Grosso do Sul, through the promotion of events such as meetings with international investment funds and bilateral meetings. This is expected to attract new investments and more visibility.

In addition to the business meetings that are already held, the State Government has MS Day as an example, also in partnership with Fiems. The initiative was created in July last year to “sell” Mato Grosso do Sul to the world.
