Presented by deputy Sérgio Guimarães (União), the proposal aims to improve road safety, following the successful example of São Paulo. Guimarães highlighted his concern about the growing number of accidents involving motorcyclists in Santa Catarina.
“This is a matter of life. Last year alone, from January to May, more than 2,600 traffic accidents were recorded in Greater Florianópolis, 1,600 involving motorcycles”, warned the deputy.
