The Legislative Chamber of the Federal District (CLDF) approved, this Tuesday (30), the project that extends the validity of tax benefits for several sectors. With the approval of the agreement, ICMS exemption on operations involving equipment and supplies for the provision of health services is guaranteed until the last day of this year.

This is legislative decree No. 122/2024, which ratifies ICMS Agreement No. 226/2023. The effects of the measure will come into effect from May 1st.

The other exemptions covered by the agreement will be valid until April 30, 2026. This is the case of the ICMS exemption on some operations involving the entry of imported goods for the industrialization of blood components and derivatives; as well as on imports of immunobiological products, medicines and insecticides intended for vaccination and combating dengue, malaria and yellow fever, carried out by the National Health Foundation.

Tax exemptions on internal and interstate operations with passenger cars, for use as taxis, were also extended until April 2026; about leaving vehicles for people with disabilities; and on the acquisition of railway equipment by Metrô/DF.

Furthermore, the approval of the agreement also benefits other sectors, such as civil construction and education.
