“The oil and gas market is experiencing a period of great growth, Espírito Santo is the third largest producer in the country, which also contributes to boosting the industrial sector. Therefore, Mec Show will dedicate an entire pavilion to this sector. The fair fully occupied the Carapina Pavilion, and the outdoor and food areas will also be larger this year”, says Bruna Meriguette, manager of Mec Show.

For Evandro Milet, President of the Centro Espírito Santo de Desenvolvimento Metalmecânico (Cdmec), Mec Show is the biggest event for the Espírito Santo industry, an opportunity to show the world everything that Espírito Santo is capable of producing.

“We are often hidden from view in Brazil and now we have the opportunity to present to the country what we know how to do. Mec Show went from being a local fair to becoming a national fair. It is the great showcase of the Espírito Santo industry. It is expanding into the oil and gas area, which shows its innovative nature, because the new market is oil and gas. There are a lot of people coming from outside, and this is important for the Espírito Santo industry to present itself and circulate in the world”, says Milet.

R$150 MILLION IN BUSINESS

One of the largest industrial fairs in Brazil, Mec Show is recognized for presenting innovations and new technologies in the industrial sector, in addition to providing extensive networking with purchasing managers and decision makers from large companies in Espírito Santo.

“Mec Show’s main objective is to promote business, connecting buyers and sellers. Some companies offer products and services for immediate purchase during the event, while others aim to provide exposure for future transactions. In addition, the fair offers workshops and meetings that promote the professional updating and improvement of participants. This exchange of knowledge drives the growth of everyone involved, contributing to the advancement of the metalworking sector and the State of Espírito Santo”, reinforces Leonardo Cereza, president of Sindfer.

The 2023 edition featured more than 300 national and international brands, 18 thousand visitors and R$123 million in business. According to Marcos Milanez, director of Milanez and Milaneze, the company that organizes the Mec Show, expectations for this year are even greater.

“Last year we had visitors from 21 Brazilian states and seven different countries. Around 65% of this audience was involved in purchasing processes and 30% of visitors were company managers. We work to make Mec Show even bigger, better and with more news this year. Our expectation is to generate R$150 million in business”, comments Milanez.

Various industrial segments will be present at Mec Show, such as companies dedicated to contracting and selling products and services in the industrial sector, suppliers of inputs, machines, equipment and tools, buyers from the naval, oil and gas, paper and cellulose, steel, metallurgy, mining, machining, petrochemical, port, engineering, civil construction, furniture, consumer goods, food and beverage, consumer goods, packaging, electronics, textile industries, among others.
