Civil Defense requests report to release closed buildings in DF

The Subsecretariat of the Civil Defense System (Sudec), linked to the Public Security Secretariat of the Federal District (SSP-DF), requested that those responsible for the four buildings closed in Planaltina, due to the risk of collapse, present a technical report certifying the release of buildings for residents to return.

Civil Defense technicians issued closure terms for four buildings, after technical analysis, given the risk of collapse and collapse. 12 families were removed from the site, totaling 40 people.

Those responsible for the buildings have been notified and must submit a Technical Responsibility Note (ART) report produced by a company or qualified professional, attesting to structural safety and indicating the causes and possible solutions to mitigate the risks found.

In addition, property owners must carry out maintenance services to mitigate risks and take the necessary measures to ensure that the location remains isolated.

According to the ministry, access to closed areas can only be done by a qualified professional. The disinterdiction is conditional on compliance with all requirements and will only occur through a Disinterdiction Term, which is issued by the Civil Defense.

The technical report will be prepared by the company or qualified professional hired by those responsible for the building, and must be presented within 30 days. The deadline will be extended for an equal period if a postponement is requested.

Civil Defense also informs that it operates by carrying out preventive, relief, assistance and recovery actions, aimed at avoiding or minimizing disasters, supporting the actions of emergency bodies, which carry out the first interventions.

Evacuation of buildings

The Federal District Military Fire Department (CBMDF) evacuated, last Sunday night (28/4), four mixed-use buildings. According to the corporation, the buildings located on Quadra 18, in Buritis 4, were at risk of collapsing.

Furthermore, according to firefighters, the structures have several cracks and emit popping noises.
