Commerce in Campo Grande should not open its doors next Wednesday 1st, because store owners are banned from operating by municipal definition, of Complementary Law 81 of January 3, 2006.
The decision is also corroborated by the Collective Labor Agreement signed between the employer and labor unions.
“This Law establishes other holidays where commercial doors must be closed, such as All Souls’ Day, Christmas, New Year and Good Friday”, explains the union relations manager at Fecomércio MS, Fernando Camillo. “Anyone who fails to comply may face fines.”

In other municipalities, the entrepreneur must confirm the conventions for each region with the local union. “For example, traders in Três Lagoas will be able to open their doors because there is no law that prevents them and the unions have reached an agreement regarding work on holidays.
There, the entrepreneur who wants to open his doors must file an application with the Sindivarejo de Três Lagoas and must pay, in the subsequent month, as a compensation bonus, the amount of R$ 100.00 (one hundred reais) to each employee, this value will not be subject to charges”, explains Camillo.
