Data published by Inmet (National Institute of Meteorology) show that, this Friday (26), the municipality of Aquidauana, 135 kilometers from Campo Grande, was the 5th hottest in the country. There is an alert for a new wave of heat.
In total, six cities in Mato Grosso do Sul are on the list of places with the highest temperatures: Aquidauana, with 36.1 °C, followed by Nhumirim (35.7 °C) Corumbá and Água Clara (35.6 °C), Coxim (35.4 °C) and Sonora (35.1 °C).
Furthermore, in the coming days, high temperatures are not expected to recede. This Saturday (27th), a heat wave danger alert was published in several regions of the country, including Mato Grosso do Sul. According to the publication, it is estimated that the State will face above average heat until Wednesday (1st ), with a temperature that can reach 38 °C.
Also according to Inmet, the areas that are likely to suffer most from the increase in temperature are the municipalities in the east, north, southwest and pantanals of Mato Grosso do Sul.
