Peruvian is arrested for trafficking drugs in piles in the interior of Acre

The Federal Police of Acre (PF/AC) arrested a Peruvian citizen for international drug trafficking during a routine inspection at the immigration control post in Assis Brasil, in the interior of the state, this Friday morning ( 26).

The individual, of Peruvian nationality, wanted to request entry into Brazil to Goiânia, Goiás. During the usual inspection, federal agents found a significant amount of batteries that raised suspicions of tampering.

After an analysis, the police found that the batteries were filled with cocaine, which constituted a flagrant crime of international drug trafficking.

Given the situation, the man was detained in the act and taken to the Epitaciolândia Police Station, in Acre, to provide clarification. The individual is subject to criminal liability for the crime of international drug trafficking, in accordance with current legislation. The Federal Police continues to investigate the case to identify possible connections and details about the trafficking operation in question.
