Tool facilitates establishment management and encourages tax compliance

A year ago, the government of Rio Grande do Sul launched an application made exclusively for the management of micro and small businesses opting for Simples Nacional. Created in the context of Revenue 2030+, the Minha Empresa app has the potential to benefit more than 200 thousand businesses.

The digital solution seeks to facilitate the management of establishments, delivering information to business owners in the palm of their hands. Based on tax documents, the tool offers graphs and indicators, issues alerts and helps taxpayers fill out documents that require greater technical knowledge. The objective is not supervision, but rather the provision of data for business administration.

“My Company was designed for those taxpayers who do not have system structures or personnel to carry out management work, controlling the entry and exit of products and getting to know customers. After offering this information in a simplified way, the app is now focusing on tax compliance. This means that we are helping and encouraging taxpayers to stay up to date with their taxes”, explains the head of the State Revenue Service (RE) Relationship and Services Division, Rachel Krug Einsfeld.

The undersecretary of RE, Ricardo Neves Pereira, highlights the collective construction of the tool, which already has 1052 registered companies: “The application is the result of dialogue with representative entities. For us, the best service provided is when we can deliver the information directly to taxpayers, without them needing to contact the tax authorities. In this way, we generate value for society.”

“We are happy to celebrate the first year of life of a tool that we helped to build and that today is a pioneer in Brazil in helping companies with their management”, says the CEO of Procergs, Luiz Fernando Záchia.

  • Charts and indicators: On its main page, the tool presents total purchases and sales, which can be viewed in more detail in the “operations” tab. In other tabs, you can check the largest suppliers, the most frequent customers and the products that the company bought or sold the most. In all cases, you can apply filters and choose the periodicity.
  • Alerts: The app has a notices tab, where information about overdue debts, installment payments, self-regularization programs and date reminders, among others, is available. In some cases, push notifications are sent – you must authorize the app to receive them.
  • Assistance in filling out mandatory documentation: the platform offers a document that helps in filling out the Simples Nacional Collection Document Generator Program (PGDAS), a mandatory declaration that must be submitted monthly to the Federal Revenue Service. Guidelines are provided providing the calculation of ICMS activities, based on information generated from tax documents issued by the company. The auxiliary document is made available on the 11th of each month, as the deadline for sending the PGDAS ends on the 20th. The possibility of filling out the PGDAS from the application itself is being studied.
  • Authorization of use for third parties: Business owners can authorize logins for other employees or service providers, such as accountants, for example.

About the app

Developed by RE and Procergs, Minha Empresa was built from dialogue within the Good Tax Practices Council. The tool is part of the Revenue 2030+ agenda, made up of 30 actions to modernize tax administration in Rio Grande do Sul – the initiative also turns one year old this Friday (26).

The app, available for download on Google Play and the App Store, is the first model developed in Brazil with the aim of facilitating company management. To log in, you must use gov.br access with CPF and password. Then, users must enter the CNPJ they wish to track. Checking the link between the CPF and CPNJ guarantees reliability and security.
