The Civil Police of Amazonas (PC-AM), through the Specialized Police Station for Crimes against Women (DECCM) north/east, served, this Friday (26/04), a preventive arrest warrant for a man, 25, for failure to comply with a protective measure, bodily harm, insult, persecution and threat against his ex-partner, 17. The arrest took place in the Cidade Nova neighborhood, north zone.
According to delegate Alessandra Trigueiro, head of the specialized unit, the victim went to the police station to make a complaint against the offender, on April 16 of this year.
“The victim reported that the author was violating the protective measure against him, in addition to committing other crimes, such as bodily harm. He did not accept the end of the relationship and, even though he was aware of the protective measure, he continued to pursue the victim,” he said.
Procedures
The man will be liable for failure to comply with a protective measure, bodily harm, injury, persecution and threat in the context of domestic violence. He will undergo a custody hearing and will be available to the Judiciary.
