State deputy Leandro de Jesus (PL) demanded from the State Government the inauguration of the Dr. José Borba Hospital, in Santa Maria da Vitória, in the west of Bahia, which was scheduled to be delivered in 2022, but until today it had not been delivered by the administration.
The parliamentarian, who is part of the opposition base in the Legislative Assembly of Bahia (AL-BA), has been making a series of complaints in recent days about public facilities that are not serving the local population.
In the video of the complaint that was posted on his social networks, the liberal shows the work sign, which shows the value of more than R$19 million for the renovation and expansion of the equipment. However, according to the parliamentarian, the Hospital remains inactive.
“It’s yet another negligence on the part of the State Government. Once again, here in the west, we show that health structures that should serve the people are not working. It’s public money wasted. The structure here is being deteriorated over time. A true absurdity !” he shouted.
In the publication, Leandro de Jesus also provoked the Bahia Health Department (Sesab), which released a note after he jumped over a wall in the High Complexity Oncology Unit (UNACON) to inspect the reason for the equipment, even though it opened in 2022, does not work as of today.
“They released a note after trying to prevent my inspection. Why don’t they want me to show it? Why do they try to prevent the right to parliamentary oversight? Why don’t they solve the problem? Instead of publishing a note full of fake news, as they did, because they tried to prevent my supervision in every way and, therefore, I jumped over the wall at UNACON, they should look for a solution”, he added.
