Agro can nod to Bolsonarism, but sees that the government is another

Agriculture does not waste money and realizes that it can even nod to Bolsonaro, but it cannot ignore that the government is now different. For Josias, despite the government’s efforts to attract the trust of the Bolsonarist portion of agribusiness, Lula himself makes this articulation difficult by maintaining a fierce climate of political polarization.

The government is aware of this and tries to bridge the gap. O [Carlos] Fávaro, Minister of Agriculture, knows this sector well, with whom he has good dialogue. But a part of agribusiness actually has a passion for Bolsonaro. It was not always reciprocated, as he conspired against agriculture by kicking China for free and by harassing Brazil’s commercial partners.

Lula knows that he would be shooting himself in the foot if he, under the pretext of taking revenge on this agribusiness that campaigned for Bolsonaro, did not see the need to finance the harvest and improve the business environment. Lula makes the correct gesture.
