Marvel Studios will limit productions per year, Disney President reveals number of releases

Bob Iger promises a drastic decrease in the number of MCU releases!

It is not today that the Disney It is Bob Iger has been talking about reducing the volume of films and series Marvel Studiosin an attempt to regain public interest after the controversial Phases 4 and 5. Now, the studio president was very direct to the point when explaining how this will happen, during a meeting with shareholders.

According to the VarietyBob Iger was at the last conference with shareholders of Disney, this Tuesday (7). The executive said that his goal is to reduce the volume of launches of the Marvel Studioswith (at most) three films and two TV series per year:

“We’re going to slowly tone down and release about two TV series a year instead of four, and reduce our movie schedule from four to two, maximum three a year. And we’re working hard to figure out which way that is.”

Iger also commented on the future of Marvel Cinematic Universetalked about the premieres of Captain America: Brave New World It is Thunderbolts* in 2025, and promised new films fromThe Avengers:

“[Teremos] some good films in 2025 and we’re back with more ‘Avengers’, which we’re really excited to do. Overall, I feel great about this schedule. It’s something I’ve committed to spending more time developing. I have tremendous confidence in the team and the intellectual property we are mining, including the sequels we are making.”

This reduction had been expected for a long time, especially after some resounding failures last year, such as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania It is The Marvels.

Interestingly, Iger made a less enthusiastic statement about the series’ calendar. Marvel Studiossaying that much of the ready-made content is “a vestige of what was basically the desire to increase the volume of launches in the past”.

Among the series that are yet to be released, we have Agathaseries focused on the villain of WandaVisionsolo productions for Magnum and for the Iron heartas well as new animations, such as marvel zombies.
