It was in the vibrant atmosphere of the Museu da Imagem e do Som Chico Albuquerque, last Tuesday (24), that the II Meeting of the Ceará Government Ombudsman Network, promoted by the State Comptroller and General Ombudsman (CGE), came to life . The cultural space became the center of an event that brought together public managers and representatives from different spheres of the State. The purpose was to honor the Ombudsman Offices that stood out during the year 2023.

Representatives of the Ombudsman’s Offices of the Casa Militar, the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex, the Regulatory Agency for Public Services Delegates of the State and the Military Fire Brigade of Ceará were honored with medals in recognition of their exceptional performance over the last year.

The event gained even more prominence with the inspiring talks given by renowned figures. The Secretary of Human Rights, Socorro França, shared her perspective on the importance of the Ombudsman’s Office, highlighting its role as an essential channel for citizens’ expression and the promotion of social justice.

In turn, the retired minister of the Supreme Court of Justice (STJ), Napoleão Maia, enriched the debate by highlighting the significant impact that the Ombudsman’s Offices have in building tangible results for society.

Still as an integral part of the meeting, participants had the privilege of attending an enriching panel, made up of representatives from the State’s sectoral Ombudsman Offices. The stage was shared by the CGE Ombudsman coordinator, Larisse Moreira; by the ombudsman from the Department of Education, Olena Marta; by the Civil Police Ombudsman, Jerffison Silva; and by the ombudsman of the Cearense Foundation for Support to Scientific and Technological Development, Marília Rego.

At this meeting, the technical team engaged in debates about the experiences and challenges faced by different bodies in the context of the Ombudsman’s Office. Each panelist shared experiences and perspectives, offering a panoramic view of practices and opportunities for improvement within the Ceará Ombudsman Offices.

Recognition

During the event, the State Comptroller and General Ombudsman’s Office (CGE) set aside a special moment to honor the professionals who stood out at the Citizen Service Center 155, recognizing their efforts and dedication in providing services. Maria Lucilene Freitas Brasil, Hilária Araújo Belo and Marcilene Abreu de Freitas were deservedly highlighted as the Outstanding Attendants of the year 2023 at Central 155.

These professionals not only demonstrated excellence in service, but also personified the values ​​of commitment, empathy and professionalism in each interaction with citizens. Their tireless work and their ability to resolve demands efficiently and courteously did not go unnoticed, being a true reflection of the Ceará State Government’s commitment to the quality of public services and citizen satisfaction.
