Recife PE. The Federal Police launched, this Thursday, 25/4, Operation Zero Tolerance 4, when a search and seizure warrant was executed at the residence of a suspect, in Vitória de Santo Antão/PE, related to posts on networks of relationships and sharing content in private groups containing images of child sexual abuse. Two cell phones were seized during the action.

The operation is the result of an analysis of crime news filed with the Ombudsman’s Office of the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights, which reported the existence of a page and profile on a social network, which directed private groups to disseminate content with images of abuse. child and adolescent sexual activity. This targeting was carried out via a link published in the profile.

With the analysis of the information reported, it was identified that the user was a resident of Vitória de Santo Antão, and further investigations allowed him to be located and the warrant issued on that day.

The crimes investigated in today’s action are related to the offering, transmission, sharing, as well as the possession and storage of files (photographs, videos or other recordings) that contain explicit or pornographic sex scenes involving children or adolescents. The penalties provided for the crimes mentioned are imprisonment, from three to six years, and a fine.
