People of Carira praise services offered at the 26th “Sergipe is here” | F5 News

Last Friday (19), the population of Carira, a municipality located in the Sergipe countryside, experienced a special moment. Awaited with anticipation throughout the week, the arrival of the ‘Sergipe é aqui’ program transformed the routine of just over 22 thousand residents of the city, who took advantage of the large structure set up on their doorstep to actively participate in the 160 services offered by the State government.

In Carira, the large volume of people seeking services highlighted the importance of the program in promoting citizenship. In the corn capital of Sergipe, the action provided a special space to promote the solidarity economy among small entrepreneurs in the municipality, exploring the great potential of the region, located on the border with the state of Bahia, for commerce.

For entrepreneurs Maria Rosivana and Elisandre Andrade, residents of Carira, the arrival of the itinerant government in the city represented much more than the opportunity to sell their products. “We have an online store and we sell our crafts online. However, there are many people here in the region who have access difficulties and, therefore, end up not knowing our products. Today, we are having the opportunity to physically exhibit to a large audience, not just here in Carira, but across the region, and that is very good”, highlighted Elisandre Andrade.

For artisan Jaqueline Silva, the space dedicated to the solidarity economy was the boost she needed to boost her business. “People come to take advantage of the services and end up visiting the stand, which helps us to better promote each product. I have a physical store and here I also have the opportunity to publicize the address”, she emphasized.

Citizenship

‘Sergipe is here’ has transformed, for a day, the lives of the inhabitants of the cities it has visited, offering a wide range of important services on their doorstep and, most importantly, including the population in essential public programs and policies.

Housewife Maria de Jesus took the opportunity to update her documentation. “I came to get my ID, because I had needed it for many years. Mine is so old I don’t even use it anymore. I always planned to go to Itabaiana or Aracaju to resolve this, but I never managed to do it. Today, with the service close by, I couldn’t let it go. Congratulations to the Government of Sergipe for the initiative. We hope you come back more often,” she said.

Andrea dos Santos, resident of Povoado Pedra Branca, took little Aysha, aged one year and three months, to update her vaccination schedule. “I really liked it, because here we don’t have to queue and there are several services that are very close to us. Anyone who lives here knows how difficult it is to travel from the town to another city. So, I just have to say thank you”, said Andréa dos Santos.

This ease of being served in the city itself was also highlighted by farmer Gilvan Figueiredo, resident of the Jacinto Ferreira Settlement. Attended at the men’s health stand, Gilvan praised the structure of the program and the services provided to the population.

“I came to be seen by the general practitioner, because I have a health problem and I need a referral for surgery. I really liked it, because I was attended to quickly. This initiative is wonderful and needs to come to Carira more often, because in a single day we can solve many things that, normally, we cannot do here in the city. You can see, by the volume of people here today, how important this action is,” he said.
