The dispute for mayor of Curitiba (PR) has a technical tie between three pre-candidates, according to research by the AtlasIntel/CNN Brasil institute released this Thursday, 25. Former Lava Jato prosecutor and impeached deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Novo) appears with 18.2% of voting intentions, while former federal deputy Paulo Martins (PL) with 18% and the current vice-mayor of the capital of Paraná, Eduardo Pimentel (PSD), with 17.9%. The margin of error is plus or minus three percentage points.

Following the results, former governor and current federal deputy Beto Richa (PSDB) appears with 8.7%, followed by journalist Cristina Graeml (PMB), with 8.4%, and federal deputy Carol Dartora (PT), with 7 .9%, and state deputy Ney Leprevost (Union), with 7.7%. According to the survey’s margin of error, the four pre-candidates also suffer a technical tie, as well as the first position.

The survey was carried out between April 18th and 23rd and interviewed 860 people in Curitiba. The confidence level is 95%. The survey was registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number PR-07759/2024.

The method used by the institute recruits internet users during routine browsing, using geolocation data. Called Random Digital Recruitment (RDR), the methodology promises to reduce the possible psychological impact of human interaction at the time of the interview.

In a second scenario, the research takes Paulo Martins out of the race and puts state deputy Ricardo Arruda (PL) in his place. There is also a change in the PT, with the replacement of Carol Dartora by federal deputy Zeca Dirceu. With the new names, Dallagnol appears in first place with 21.5%, followed by Pimentel in second, with 18.4%, and Richa in third, with 12.7%.

A third scenario tested for the capital of Paraná does not have the names of Deltan, state deputy Goura (PDT) and state deputy Maria Victoria (PP). There is also no PT pre-candidate.

In it, Eduardo Pimentel leads, with 20.2% of voting intentions. Then there are Paulo Martins, with 18.1%, Cristina Graeml, 13%, Beto Richa, 10.8%, and Ney Leprevost, 10.7%.

The survey did not include among the pre-candidates the name of the former senator and former governor of Paraná Roberto Requião, who announced his affiliation with the Mobiliza Party, former PMN, with the aim of running in this year’s election, or in a possible dispute for the position of senator Sérgio Moro (União-PR), in the event of the parliamentarian’s impeachment.
