Cosama: negotiation campaign in the interior of Amazonas reduces defaults by 77%

The Amazonas Sanitation Company (Cosama) carried out the ‘Stay up to date with Cosama’ campaign, launched in March this year, with the aim of reducing defaults in 2023, with benefits for its customers that reached 100% discounts on interest and fines for cash payments. With the results obtained, the Company celebrates the success of the campaign with a 77% reduction in default rates.

According to data released by the sector responsible for collection, at the beginning of the campaign, the Company had 21,692 calls in arrears and at the end it reduced it to 14,104 calls, positively impacting the amounts collected.

The results are the result of teamwork that included the commitment of all employees from the 15 Cosama branches in the interior of the state, carrying out itinerant actions in order to facilitate the regularization of debts, reflected in the reduction of the default margin , presenting significant demand and the team’s ability to offer efficient and quality service, as explained by the commercial superintendent, Marilandia Marinho.

“In order to facilitate access to the services offered by Cosama, the traveling service points were in strategic locations. And in these spaces, services were provided for the entire population. It was an unprecedented action that the Company found so that the company could be closer to its customers, in addition to offering special conditions for negotiating their outstanding accounts”, highlighted Marinho.

Cosama encourages users to keep paying their invoices on time. Service continues at agencies from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm, and users must have documents such as ID and CPF on hand, and an invoice to identify their registration number. The company provides other contact channels, such as Customer Service (SAC), via the number (092) 4009-1971, WhatsApp (092) 98527-3255, the website cosama.am.org.br and the Mais Água application.
