The Federal Attorney General’s Office (AGU) asked the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to open an investigation into the disclosure of judicial decisions ordered by Minister Alexandre de Moraes to remove content posted by users of the social network X, formerly Twitter. For the body, there is suspicion of crimes against the Democratic Rule of Law and against institutions.

Last week, part of the decisions were released by journalist Michael Shellenberger on the social network. The case is known as the “Twitter Files”. In the posts, parts of confidential decisions made by Moraes between 2020 and 2022 were reproduced.

In the opinion of the Union’s attorney general, Jorge Messias, the disclosure of documents causes interference in the progress of the processes and violates the duty of secrecy in the custody of documents.

“The facts outlined here indicate that, to the detriment of the Judiciary of the Union, and without the respective judicial authorizations, an enormous amount of information was disclosed to which judicial secrecy was attributed, compromising ongoing investigations both in this Supreme Court and in the TSE. respect for undemocratic conduct that occurred in Brazil and which culminated in the acts of vandalism on January 8, 2023”, stated Messias.

With the measure, the AGU asks Alexandre de Moraes to send the criminal report presented by the agency to the Federal Public Ministry (STF) for investigation.

“It is necessary not only to identify and punish the possible culprits, but also to make clear the absolute aversion to the nature of the facts, the reiteration of which will not, under any circumstances, be admitted by the constituted powers”, concluded the AGU.

Last week, North American businessman Elon Musk was included by minister Alexandre de Moraes in the fake news inquiry, popularly known as the “end of the world inquiry”. The measure was taken after Musk insinuated that he will not comply with the Supreme Court’s orders to withdraw of posts that are considered illegal.

In posts published earlier this month, Musk promised to “lift” all judicial restrictions, claiming that Moraes threatened to arrest X employees in Brazil when ordering the removal of illegal content. The businessman also accused Moraes of “blatantly and repeatedly betraying the Constitution and the Brazilian people”.

A book, released a few months ago, shows how censorship began in Brazil and how Moraes became the main person involved in this process. It’s about the brave “Supreme Silence”. The book reveals behind the scenes of the investigation that terrorizes Brazil to this day, the biggest scandals and absurd persecutions. If you want to see this work, click on the link below:
