The Municipal Health Department (SMS) of Cuiabá publishes the schedule for applying the BCG vaccine in the capital’s basic health units, aiming to guide citizens who seek the service. The vaccine is offered to the population with a different schedule, as there is no possibility of opening batches daily, as once opened, doses must be administered within six hours.

BCG is an immunizer used to combat Tuberculosis (TB) and is recommended for children aged 0 to under five. It is the child’s first vaccine and is therefore administered to newborn babies. It can be applied to children up to the age of 4 years, 11 months and 29 days if they have not been previously vaccinated.
