Security camera caught criminal action in the Jardim Guanabara neighborhood, on Ilha do Governadorreproduction

Rio – A security camera from the residential building where father and daughter were stabbed by a robber, in the Jardim Guanabara neighborhood, on Ilha do Governador, North Zone, captured the moment the criminal invaded the property, at 9:20 am on Monday ( 22). In the video it is possible to see that the robber, who has not yet been identified by the Civil Police, tries to jump over the building’s wall at least three times, managing to break into the property on the third attempt. The criminal was wearing black pants and a sweatshirt and a white cap. During the action it is not possible to see any residents passing through Rua Amâncio Pereira, nor cars.

This Wednesday (24), two days after the crime, the Civil Police reported that the case remains under investigation at the 37th DP (Ilha do Governador).

The crime

According to the Civil Police, Marina Barros da Silva was tied up and forced to unlock her cell phone and computer. She told the criminal that she lived with other people and contacted her father by phone. Her father, upon arriving at the residence and trying to save his daughter, was seriously stabbed. Marina was also injured in the arm during the action.

Luiz Eduardo was rescued by firefighters and taken to the Evandro Freire Municipal Hospital, on Ilha do Governador. Marina was treated and discharged on Monday (22). Evandro was discharged this Wednesday (24).
