Operation Mute carries out sweeps at Compaj and 50 other prisons in Brazil

Manaus/AM – The fourth phase of ‘Operation Mute’ was launched this morning (24), which took place simultaneously across the country, being the largest operation in the fight against illicit communication in prisons, where 51 prison units across the country country were reviewed.

In Amazonas, the Operation was carried out at the Anísio Jobim Penitentiary Complex (Compaj), located at K8 of BR-174, and included the action of military police from the Penitentiary Intervention Group (GIP), where searches were carried out in pavilions and cells.

The outcome of the operation was positive as no cell phone was found.
