A Shopee has just opened a logistics hub in Palmas, capital of Tocantins. The new space operates on the last mile model, in which goods pass to be routed and forwarded to buyers.
This is Shopee’s second warehouse in the North of the country – the first is located in Belém, Pará. The objective is to be closer to sellers and consumers in the region and optimize the north-south connections on the Goiânia-Belém axis, passing through Brasília and Maranhão as well.
In total, the marketplace counts with 11 distribution centers, located in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Pernambuco, Goiás and Rio Grande do Sul – opened in February and March, respectively. Furthermore, they are more 100 logistics hubs first and last mile, all exclusive to products from Brazilian retailers.
“This new space will allow us to offer faster and more efficient deliveries, in addition to reinforcing our presence and infrastructure in the North of the country.
