This Wednesday, April 24th, the Court of Justice of Mato Grosso do Sul registered the return of all magistrates to face-to-face work. The mass return of magistrates and civil servants, who until then had been teleworking, was one of the goals of the president of the TJMS, Des. Sérgio Fernandes Martins.

In the first month of the 2023/2024 biennium, Ordinance No. 2,580 was published, which revoked the administrative decisions that authorized the full and partial teleworking regime in the Judiciary of Mato Grosso do Sul. This was the first action of the current president, Des Sérgio Martins, to return to in-person work.

With the measure, the president highlighted the need for the presence of judges in the districts to serve those under jurisdiction and lawyers, in addition to limiting the release for telepresence service in compliance with the National Council of Justice standard, of a maximum of 30% in this modality of work.

Thus, according to data collected by the Personnel Management Secretariat, of the total number of employees in the Judiciary of MS there was a reduction of 884 employees, which corresponded to 25%, in February 2023, to just 341 (9.5%) who are still teleworking in April 2024, and, consequently, 90.5% working in person.

In the State’s districts, the mark of 99% of registry office and administrative support employees working in person is reached.

These results demonstrate the dedication and commitment of magistrates and employees of the Judiciary of MS to an efficient and effective judicial provision, in compliance with one of the pillars of the administration of the 2023/2024 biennium, namely, the search for improvement in service and satisfaction of jurisdictions and lawyers.
