“I was mayor when he [Bolsonaro] I was president and I know the importance of these resources,” said Gutz. The politician also highlighted the vote received by Bolsonaro in Santa Catarina in the second round of the 2022 elections. The former president received 69.27% of the valid votes in the state, compared to 30.73% for Lula (PT), who won the election .
Despite citing Bolsonaro’s performance during the pandemic, the president minimized the disease on several occasions in public speeches. Bolsonaro’s son is a pre-candidate for councilor in SC
In March, Jair Renan Bolsonaro announced his pre-candidacy for the position of councilor for Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina. Renan announced his affiliation with a post on social media. Bolsonaro’s son posted a photo of him next to the governor and president of PL in the state, Jorginho Mello. Writing to his “southern compatriots”, Renan said he wanted to “thank the governor for this great honor of being part of the PL team”.
