Two men were arrested in the early hours of Wednesday (24) after being caught stealing more than 60 meters of electrical wiring from a school in the Jardim Orlândia neighborhood, in Varginha (MG).
According to the Military Police, the two suspects, aged 36 and 29, still tried to escape, but were intercepted and arrested after resisting arrest.
According to the police, it was found that they had just committed a theft at the site, removing 62 meters of electrical wiring from the underground gallery that passes through the educational establishment.
The school’s electrical distribution panel was also damaged. Cutting pliers and a pair of pliers were also seized, as well as a radio communicator.
Forensics were called and attended the scene. According to the police, the suspects, who were already accustomed to committing theft, were taken to the police station on duty for the necessary measures.
