The Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (Ficco) arrested this Wednesday morning (24) in Itajaí Leonardo Alexander Ribeiro Herbas Camacho, nephew of Marcola, leader of the criminal organization Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), who is in prison sentenced to more than 300 years in prison. Leonardo was living in Santa Catarina and, according to the police, managed businesses linked to gambling, drug and weapons trafficking in Ceará.

The investigation that resulted in the arrest of Marcola’s nephew was conducted in Ceará. During the operation launched this Tuesday, called Primma Migratio, warrants were executed in Ceará, São Paulo, Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso. Among those arrested are two military police officers co-opted by the criminals. The group would have generated more than R$300 million in recent years, much of it to corrupt public servants.
In Santa Catarina, the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime will investigate whether Leonardo Alexander Ribeiro Herbas Camacho had been maintaining business in the State or had chosen Itajaí to escape justice. He was detained outside the “ostentatious criminality” circuit, in a quiet residential neighborhood – Bairro São João. Marcola’s nephew was living in a high-standard, three-bedroom rented apartment, without any features that attracted attention.

Leonardo was taken by police to the Canhanduba Prison Complex and is isolated. The Prison Administration Secretariat was notified to take action regarding his stay in the unit. The expectation is that he will be transferred to a maximum security prison.
Ficco is a special cooperation unit to combat organized crime, established throughout the country as part of a package of actions against crime, in which the Federal Police and the Civil Police participate. The basis of the task force is integration. The group follows the North American model, in which each institution works in parallel and exchanges information for intelligence purposes.
