BRASÍLIA – The president of the Court of Justice of Pernambuco (TJ-PE), judge Ricardo Paes Barreto, announced that he will create a “walk of fame for the Judiciary”, with the molds of the hands and signatures of judges who have already commanded the Court . According to the judge, the intention of the proposal is to make the Judiciary “more beautiful and attractive”.
“The ‘Walk of Fame of the Judiciary’ is already being implemented. What we only saw in Hollywood and Maracanã, we are going to do. Instead of being the feet, let’s do the hands, it’s our working instrument, of all the presidents who are still alive”, stated Barreto, in an interview with the program “João Alberto na Jornal”, shown by TV Newspaper of Pernambuco last Saturday, 20.
Wanted by Estadãothe TJ-PE’s office informed that there is no defined project regarding the judge’s idea.
The president of the Court stated that the “walk of fame” will be in front of the Palace of Justice, headquarters of the TJ-PE in Recife, the state capital. According to the judge, the tribute will become an “attraction for tourists” visiting the city.
“As the presidents leave, they will make a mold of the hand, with the signature molded with the name and the year. It will be in front of the courthouse. It will be a very beautiful thing, an attraction for tourists, for jurists, for everyone who visits our city,” he said.
Barreto also declared that he is investing in renovating the gardens and installing LED lighting at the Palace of Justice. According to the judge, the changes seek to improve the image of the Judiciary among the population.
