Santa Catarina Culture Foundation celebrates 45 years with Lyric Concert and tributes

To celebrate its 45 years of creation, the Fundação Catarinense de Cultura (FCC) promotes a ceremony and the Lyric Concert, presented by Camerata Florianópolis, on the stage of the Teatro Ademir Rosa, located at the Integrated Center of Culture (CIC), in Florianópolis. The presentation will take place this Wednesday, 24th, the FCC’s anniversary, at 7:30 pm.

The Fundação Catarinense de Cultura (FCC) is the body that executes cultural policies in the state of Santa Catarina. It was officially created on April 24, 1979, by State Decree No. 7439, and its mission is to value culture through actions that stimulate, promote and preserve the memory and artistic production of Santa Catarina.

Currently, he is responsible for managing the Culture Incentive Program (PIC), state patronage; of notices such as the Catarinense Film Award and the Elisabete Anderle Prize for Stimulating Culture. It is also responsible for the administration of several cultural spaces: the Álvaro de Carvalho Theater (TAC), the Pedro Ivo Theater, the Integrated Culture Center (CIC) – which includes the Ademir Rosa Theater, the Santa Catarina Art Museum ( Masc), the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS/SC), the Art Workshops, the School of Arts, the Lindolf Bell Rooms, the Gilberto Gerlach Cinema and the Art & Culture Library, the Crafts Gallery of Casa da Alfândega , the Public Library of Santa Catarina, the Historical Museum of Santa Catarina, the Casa da Literatura Catarinense Poeta Cruz e Sousa, the Casa dos Açores / Ethnographic Museum (in Biguaçu), the Casa de Campo Governador Hercílio Luz (in Rancho Queimado) and the National Sea Museum – Brazilian Vessels (in São Francisco do Sul).

“In all these years, many of the achievements that took place in the cultural area of Santa Catarina were possible thanks to the FCC. So this is a very special date for our team, for the sector and for the entire state”, comments the entity’s president, Rafael Nogueira.

In the initial part of the ceremony, tributes will be given to employees with the longest contribution. Afterwards, the public will enjoy the free show, which will include famous opera arias and other pieces of lyrical singing in its repertoire. The solos will be performed by singers Carla Domingues and Marília Oliveira (sopranos), Guilherme Albanaes (tenor) and Fernando De Carli (baritone), with production by Maria Elita Pereira and conducting by maestro Jeferson Della Rocca.

In the Ademir Rosa Theater hall, the public will also be able to see an exhibition that features images and the history of the FCC.
