Mandatory for cows and heifers in Rio Grande do Sul, vaccination against brucellosis already mobilizes livestock farmers in Rio Grande do Sul. The Union of Rural Workers in Family Farming (STRAF) of Vera Cruz will carry out an immunization campaign against the disease next Monday and Tuesday, April 29th and 30th.
Vaccination is open to heifers over 3 months of age and cows of any age. To participate in the campaign, all livestock farmers must register by this Thursday, April 25th, at the union’s Agropecuaria.
This STRAF de Vera Cruz initiative aims to help livestock farmers ensure the health of the local herd and compliance with the health requirements of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Producers who do not meet this requirement will be in an irregular situation before the Inspectorate Veterinary, subject to fines and other penalties.
