Couple was caught having sex on an avenue in the center of Palmas

A couple was caught having sex in a flowerbed on the banks of Avenida NS-02, in the center of Palmas. The video was published on social media and went viral on Monday night (22), drawing the attention of internet users.

The Civil Police reported that there was no complaint or record of the incident.

The images, published on the Tu Viu Palmas page, show two people on the grass of the construction site having sexual intercourse. The incident took place early in the morning on Monday, very close to Avenida JK, one of the city’s main roads.

The person who recorded the video was young Mikeias Muniz. He works close to the place and was leaving work around 12:30 am when he saw the couple. “They stayed for about 20 minutes and walked away, heading towards Avenida JK”, he said.

According to him, the couple seemed to be quite drunk: “They weren’t even paying attention to the cars that were passing by.”

The images generated a lot of comments among internet users: “It’s not the place, it’s the person”, joked one; “It really was hot today in Palmas,” joked another.

This type of situation, although unusual, is against the law. The criminal code establishes as a crime the act of committing an obscene act in a public place, open or exposed to the public, stipulating a prison sentence of three months to one year, or the imposition of a fine.

But there were also people caught on Lake Palmas and even on one of the floating boats that take tourists on tours of the hydroelectric plant’s reservoir.
