Man dies after being shot in supermarket parking lot in Salvador | Bahia

A man died after being shot in the parking lot of an Assaí Atacadista unit, in Salvador, on Tuesday afternoon (23). The crime occurred at the establishment located on Avenida Afrânio Peixoto, better known as Suburbana, in the Paripe neighborhood.

Military personnel from the 19th Independent Company (CIPM/Paripe) were called to investigate the incident and already found the man lying on the ground. A team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) arrived to provide first aid to the victim, but the man did not resist.

According to the Civil Police, a replica pistol was found with him.

As usual, the area was isolated and the Technical Police Department (DPT) was called to remove the body and carry out the investigation.

So far, the man has not been identified. The murder will be investigated by the Civil Police.

In a statement, the supermarket chain also confirmed the fact and highlighted that the store was closed shortly after the crime, but operations resumed around 6pm. The company says it will collaborate with the authorities to clarify the case.
