Third largest reservoir in RN reaches 97.73% of its total capacity, says Igarn

The third largest reservoir in Rio Grande do Norte, the Umari Dam, reached 97.73% of its total capacity. According to data from the RN Water Management Institute (Igarn), released this Tuesday (23), there are only 22 cm left for the reservoir to overflow.

The reservoir has the capacity to accumulate around 292,813,650 m³ and currently accumulates a volume of 286,176,748 m³. The last bleeding from the Umari Dam, according to Igarn, was in April 2023.

According to Igarn, the Rodeador reservoir, located in Umarizal, accumulates 17,468,368 m³, percentage, 81.61% of its total capacity, which is 21,403,849 m³.

The Boqueirão de Angicos dam, located in Afonso Bezerra, accumulates 13,565,623 m³, corresponding to 84.69% of its total capacity, which is 16,018,307 m³.

In José da Penha, the Flechas dam accumulates 7,722,475 m³, equivalent to 86.29%
of its total capacity, which is 8,949,675 m³.

The Corredor dam, in Antônio Martins, accumulates 4,633,000 m³, representing 99.78% of its total capacity, which is 4,643,000 m³.
