On the afternoon of this Monday, the 22nd, the Ribeirópolis Police Station recorded the arrest of the suspect involved in the death of a couple on January 22, 2023, in the village of Fazendinha, rural area of Ribeirópolis. Investigations showed that the crime was carried out by an ex-convict and motivated by jealousy.
The man arrested on Tuesday was on the run from justice and was detained when he presented himself at the police station, and the arrest warrant was served. According to delegate Gregório Bezerra, who led the investigations into the deaths of Silvânia Santana and Marcos do Nascimento and the attempted murder of a woman who was with the couple, the person being investigated confessed to being involved in the case.
“During his interrogation, he confessed to his participation in the crime, stating that his cousin was the one who executed the victims. He also reported that the motivation for the crime was that, while his cousin was in prison, his partner had an affair with the victim, Marcos Nascimento, and that, after leaving jail, to take revenge, he took Marcos’ life. . As Marcos was dating Silvânia, the hairdresser and manicurist resident in the municipality of Ribeirópolis, he also murdered Silvânia”, said police chief Gregório Bezerra.
Still in his confession, the person under investigation said he had asked the perpetrator of the crimes not to kill the women who were with Marcos, as they had nothing to do with the situation. Even so, the man, Alisson Santos Silva, took Silvânia’s life with a knife and shot her friend twice, who managed to flee the scene.
According to the Civil Police, Alisson, who had already served a sentence for another double homicide, was identified during the police investigation launched to elucidate the deaths of Silvânia and Marcos, but ended up dying while serving an arrest warrant, in Operation Regresso, on the 16th, in the municipality of Ribeirópolis.
With the arrest that took place on Monday, the crime was solved. The detained man is at the disposal of Justice. “The Civil Police reinforces its commitment to the safety of the population of Sergipe and asks that, if they become aware of crimes, they dial 181.
