Detran promotes lectures on traffic education for almost a thousand students in four cities in the interior

The State Department of Traffic (Detran) carried out, through the Escola Piauíense de Trânsito, educational lectures in schools in four large cities in the interior, reaching 980 students in just two days of activities. The educators were in Parnaíba, Piripiri, Campo Maior and Barras.

On the occasion, the provisions of the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), mandatory use of safety equipment and respect for laws to preserve lives on the streets and roads of the state were discussed, in accordance with the Intersectoral Pact for the Reduction of Accidents and Deaths in the Traffic.

In Parnaíba, 260 students, between 15 and 19 years old, were able to attend lectures at the Full-Time Education Centers (Ceti) Senador Chagas Rodrigues and Liceu Parnaibano. The educators had the support of the Department of Education (Seduc).

In Piripiri, 258 students, between 15 and 18 years old, received teachers at Ceti Embaixador Expedito Resende. At Ceti José Narcísio da Rocha Filho, 115 students were reached with traffic classes.

In Campo Maior, a lecture was held at Ceti Valdivino Tito, for 123 students between 17 and 18 years old. In Barras, there was a lecture at the 2nd Regional Education Management (GRE), for 134 students between 15 and 17 years old. Another lecture was given in the city, at Ceti Nossa Senhora da Conceição, to 90 students between 16 and 17 years old.

For the general director of Detran, Luana Barradas, educational actions like these are fundamental for the training of conscientious drivers in the state. “The young people we reach will be future drivers in traffic. With the guidelines we have introduced in schools, we are preparing students for more careful and respectful traffic in the future”, stated the manager.
