The Federal Highway Police (PRF) recovered three tampered with vehicles, between Sunday (31st) and Monday (1st), in the Bahian cities of Santo Estêvão and Itabuna.

The first incident occurred on Sunday afternoon (31), on BR 116, in Santo Estêvão. Police officers spotted a motorcyclist in a HONDA/CG 125 without a helmet. During the approach, the team found that the identifying elements were tampered with, preventing the vehicle from being correctly identified.

Later, at Km 050 of BR 415, in Itabuna, the agents approached a white Fiat/Mobi that was traveling along the shoulder, where tampering was also confirmed. After a detailed analysis, it was possible to identify the original vehicle, which had been reported stolen in Camaçari.

At Km 032 of BR 415, also on the perimeter of Itabuna, at around 9 am on Monday (1st), the PRF team approached a black Chev/Onix vehicle. The car’s license plate had signs of forgery and the original vehicle had a restriction for theft registered in 2018.

All incidents were forwarded to the competent Civil Police Stations for the adoption of appropriate measures.
