247 – First lady Rosângela da Silva, known as Janja, made a public statement this Tuesday (2) denying the fake news published by journalist Lauro Jardim, from Globo, which accused her of having pressured Minister Francisco Falcão of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) in the case involving the player Robinho.

In his statement, Janja stated that he did not make any call to the Minister, “whom he doesn’t even know”, to deal with the aforementioned case. She highlighted that, even after Falcão denied the accusation made by the journalist in his column, he insisted on propagating the lie, disregarding the Minister’s own public statements.

Janja also highlighted the importance of careful journalistic work in verifying sources to avoid the spread of fake news, and reinforced Minister Falcão’s response, reaffirming that there was no call made to him.

The controversy began with a report by Lauro Jardim, in which he stated that Janja had contacted Minister Falcão to influence the judgment of the Robinho case. However, the Minister clarified that he did not receive any type of interference from the First Lady and that his vote was already ready before Carnival.

Even after the Minister denied the accusation made by journalist Lauro Jardim in his column, the journalist insists on reaffirming the lie, as if the words published by the Minister in his note were not worth enough.

It should be essential for journalists to carefully check sources to avoid the spread of fake news. Janja publicly reinforces the Minister’s response, reaffirming that no call was made to him.”
