Petrobras is envisioning an increase of up to 40% in oil and gas production in Espírito Santo during 2025. The state-owned company’s executives are taking as a basis the 161,000 barrels per day that were being extracted at the end of 2023. Therefore, everything If successful, the company will reach the end of next year extracting 225.4 thousand barrels/day. The arrival of the FPSO Maria Quitéria, with a maximum capacity of 150 thousand barrels per day, and the interconnection of new fields to the P-57 and P-58 platforms will boost the state-owned company’s production in the State.
“I think we will have an interesting 2025 in Espírito Santo. Maria Quitéria will leave the China shipyard, where it is being built, in the second half of this year and the first oil will be extracted in the first half of 2025. In addition, we are interconnecting of several fields. It seems little, but an interconnection in the pre-salt yields up to 20 thousand barrels of oil per day. We are seeing an expansion that will be between 30% and 40% next year”, said Eduarda Lacerda, Petrobras manager in the Espírito Santo, at the opening of Vitória PetroShow 2024.
A 40% production increase in Petrobras’ production in the State means an increase of 64.5 thousand barrels per day. Taking into account the current price of a barrel of oil (US$89.12), there is an extra R$29.028 million per day in Espírito Santo production. Positive impact on business and payment of taxes, royalties and special participations.
