OAB-PB talks with Branco do Brasil about direct payment of court permits in the Institution’s agencies

The general secretary of the Brazilian Bar Association, Sectional Paraíba (OAB-PB), Rodrigo Farias; and the president of the Commission for the Defense of the Prerogatives and Valorization of Law, Janny Milânes; met, this Tuesday (02), with the general manager of the legal department of Banco do Brasil in Paraíba, Solange Gonçalves Magri; and BB’s legal supervisor, Adriano Villarim, to align with the Institution procedures regarding the payment of court permits and legal fees directly at bank branches without the need for credit to an account.

The general secretary of OAB-PB, Rodrigo Farias, highlighted that, at the time, it was “confirmed by the Bank’s legal sector that it is fully possible for the license to be received directly at the branch, as long as the license is issued in the traditional model” . “In fact, the Bank’s legal sector committed to issuing a circular informing about the possibility of withdrawing permits directly from branches,” he stated.

The president of the Commission for the Defense of Prerogatives, Janny Milânes, explained

that “if the license comes with credit information in the account, then the payment flow will necessarily have to be by sending the email, from the judicial registry office to the bank. “But, if it is a traditional license, the lawyer can go to any Banco do Brasil bank branch and make a withdrawal directly at the branch, respecting, logically, amounts that require provisioning”, he noted.

Janny Milanês added that “currently, if the lawyer wants to receive payment directly at the agency so as not to have to wait for the credit to be received, he or she can request in the case file that the license be issued in the traditional way. “This way, lawyers can contact each other. drive with this license to any Banco do Brasil bank branch that will be able to make the withdrawal”, he said.
