The district of Camanducaia, Monte Verde, in the south of Minas Gerais, recorded the lowest temperature in Brazil in the last 24 hours, until 8 am this Tuesday (2). According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), thermometers registered 12.1°C. The measurement is the same as Campos do Jordão, in São Paulo.
The municipality of Maria da Fé, also in the south of Minas, had the second lowest temperature in the country, with 12.3°C. The national ranking continues with Bom Jardim da Serra (SC), with 13.1°C, and with Pico do Couto (RJ), with 13.4°C.
