Catarinense News Network – RCN / General / Municipalities of Santa Catarina are recognized in the State Stage of the XII Sebrae Prefeitura Empreendedora Award

The award ceremony of the State Stage of the XII Sebrae Prefeitura Empreendedora Award, held at the Sebrae/SC Headquarters, highlighted the work and innovative initiatives of 29 municipalities in Santa Catarina. The projects developed by municipal public managers have in common the promotion of the development of the business and territorial environment and the promotion of entrepreneurship.

In this edition, Santa Catarina had the registration of more than 150 projects from 107 different municipalities, the majority of which are part of the Entrepreneurial City Program, created by Sebrae/SC in partnership with the municipalities. The objective is to create a highly favorable business environment, boosting the economy and generating more income, employment, revenue and productivity through actions such as reducing bureaucracy.

“In addition to rewarding good municipal practices, the PSPE aims to stimulate innovation in the Public Sector, contribute to the expansion of municipal capabilities, promote learning and inspire new projects and ideas, reinforcing Sebrae’s role as a partner for municipalities”, stated the president of the Sebrae/SC Deliberative Council, Renato Campos Carvalho.

The Planning Secretary of the State of Santa Catarina, Edgar Usuy, represented Governor Jorginho Mello during the celebration. “This is a night that unifies many important things in Santa Catarina. The public authorities taking actions to give freedom to entrepreneurs, creating public policies that will generate development, creating favorable environments for businesses to prosper. At the same time, we have the State government, city councils, all allies so that we can maintain and make Santa Catarina the power that it is. This action today of us recognizing the mayors who make a difference in the innovation of public management, with the State being. a supporter and an entrepreneur as well, it is very important for us to continue on this upward growth path”, said Usuy.

Partner entity of the Brazilian people

The president of Sebrae Nacional, Décio Lima, highlighted that the entity has the nature of being a partner of the Brazilian people, being the 6th brand recognized by the people in the country. “I’m here today with two hearts, as a former mayor and as the current president of Sebrae Nacional, and I say: embrace Sebrae! I’ve been to several places around the world and none of them has an entity like Sebrae. We represent a capillarity of the Brazilian economy that remains invisible. Today, 95% of CNPJs are formed by MEIs and Small Companies. This is the sector that guarantees employability of 55% of formal jobs, which can effectively transform people’s lives. We believe in the local economy and the entrepreneurial spirit, and doing this together with municipalities makes all the difference”, he concluded.

The first placed in each of the 10 PSPE categories are now classified for the National Stage, scheduled for June 11th, in Brasília.
