The fall of a tree and a collision between a bus and a trailer closed the Januário Carneiro highway (MG-30), in Nova Lima, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. Drivers who need to enter or leave the city face congestion and slow traffic.

According to the Fire Department, on Tuesday afternoon, a bus collided with the back of a trailer, at km 13, in Vale dos Cristais, close to Colégio Santo Agostinho. In total, four fire teams are traveling to the location, including the Archangel 04 aircraft.

In all, 21 people were injured, none seriously. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) sent 19 victims to hospital care. Teams from Samu, the Fire Department and the Military Police remain on site.

In addition to the accident, the fall of part of a tree also closed the MG-30, due to the heavy rain that hit the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. The crash occurred in the Vila da Serra neighborhood, close to the access to Alameda Oscar Niemeyer, and left only the left lane free, causing a traffic jam.

Due to the partial blockage of the road, drivers encountered slowdowns as they passed through Vale dos Cristais, close to Colégio Santo Agostinho. After an hour, the track was completely reopened. No vehicles were hit during the tree fall.
