Thiago Trindade suggests that people call the “muggles of Mouro and Dallagnol” to ask for proof of the alleged crimes

Grandson of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), Thiago Trindade published a video on his Instagram profile asking those who call the PT member “burglar” to present evidence that he stole public money.

“For at least 40 years people have been saying that my grandfather is the greatest thief in the history of Brazil. But no one has ever presented a single proof that he stole 1 single cent, neither in Brazil nor abroad. I want to challenge everyone who says every day that my grandfather is a thief, to look for, find, report and show a single proof that my grandfather stole a penny in his life”, declared Thiago on Monday (April 1, 2024).

The PT member’s grandson also gave the “tip” how to start the search: “Call the idiot [Sergio] I live and for the fool [Deltan] Dallagnol and asks where the evidence is. Dallagnol himself said ‘we don’t have complete proof, we only have conviction’”. The two worked in the Federal Police’s Lava Jato operation.

He states that whoever proves Lula’s crimes will “become the national hero of the right and you will make a lot of money”.

CONVICTION

The PT member was convicted by former judge Sergio Moro (União Brasil-PR) in 2018 for the crimes of passive corruption and money laundering in the case of the Guarujá triplex, investigated by the Lava Jato operation. The sentence, previously established by Moro at 9 years and 6 months, was increased in the 2nd Instance by the TRF-4 (Federal Regional Court of the 4th Region) to 12 years and 1 month.

At the time, there were expectations that his sentence could be reduced to 4 to 6 years. However, Lula’s second conviction came, in February 2019, for the Atibaia site case. (SP). Judge Gabriela Hardt, from the 13th Federal Court of Paraná, added another 12 years and 11 months to the sentence. TRF-4 increased the prison time to 17 years, 1 month and 10 days.

Lula was released on November 8, 2019. Reason: the STF had determined that the sentence can only be served after the call “transit final”that is, when there is no longer any appeal available.

Despite claiming to have been cleared, Lula was only acquitted in 3 of the 10 main cases in which he was accused. The only two convictions, which were the cases considered most “advanced” against him, were annulled.
