A reduction of around 4.40% in the value of energy tariffs in Mato Grosso was approved this Tuesday (2) by Aneel (National Electric Energy Agency). The change should come into effect next Monday (8).
Adjustment in energy tariff
The calculation of the tariff adjustment follows the rules of the concession contracts and, according to Aneel, the concessionaire Energisa was the one that contributed most to the reduction in Mato Grosso (-2.69%).
Medium and high voltage consumers, which are part of Group A, may have average reduction of up to -5.61%while those connected to low voltage (residential or commercial) will be able to count on -3.90% in the value of energy tariffs.
It is worth remembering that 2024 had already started with relief for Brazilians, as Aneel announced the continuity of the green flag, without extra charges on electricity bills.
This month, the green flag continues to be valid, as conditions for energy generation remain favorable in the country, as explained by Aneel’s general director, Sandoval Feitosa.
