A civil police officer shot a suspect of committing a robbery on Avenida Giovanni Gronchi, in the Morumbi region, south zone of São Pauloaround 8am this Tuesday (2).
According to the Military Police, witnesses reported that two men on a motorcycle were robbing that location.
When they tried to approach a third victim, a civil police officer from the GER (Special Reaction Group) was in an unmarked vehicle right behind and noticed the action, arresting the criminals.
The men pulled out a 38-caliber revolver and pointed it in the direction of the agent, who retaliated and shot them both.
One of the injured, Vítor Gabriel de Almeida Costa, 19 years old, was hit and rescued by a team from the Fire Department at the Campo Limpo Hospital emergency room and is not at risk of death.
Delegate Paulo Pilz, director of Dope (Department of Strategic Police Operations), stated that the two suspects were shot, but one managed to escape.
Videos to which Record Agency had access, they caught the suspect lying on the road, with his leg bleeding.
Teams from the 1st Company of the 16th Battalion respond to the incident, which must be registered at the 89th Police District.
