Internationalization in Mato Grosso: a strategic tool for the State, Municipalities and Organizations :: MT News

In the current global context, internationalization is essential for the progress of the State, municipalities and organizations in Mato Grosso. In this article, I will address the importance of this process in all these areas. My international experiences, which range from an internship on a farm in the USA, in 2008, to my doctorate in Germany, between 2015 and 2018, and more recently, since 2020, as Secretary of International Relations at UFMT, have consolidated my conviction that Internationalization can be a strategic tool to boost sustainable development in our state.

In Mato Grosso, this is reflected in the need to establish partnerships and collaborations with international entities to promote economic, social and environmental development. Through cooperation and exchange agreements, the state can strengthen its position on the global stage, attract foreign investment and promote the internationalization of its industries and products.

The municipalities of Mato Grosso also have a lot to gain from internationalization. Through partnerships with foreign cities, municipalities can exchange experiences, promote tourism, strengthen the small, medium and large agro-industrial sector, in addition to improving urban infrastructure.
