French striker Kelly Noa Yobo YGomez, 20 years old, remains unable to play professionally for Rio Branco-AC. Announced as one of the main signings for the season, the player who spent time at PSG, in France, faces bureaucratic obstacles to be regularized and available.

YGomez arrived in Acre on January 10, 2024, but Rio Branco-AC has not yet managed to regularize him. The French player entered Brazil in possession of a tourist visavalid for 90 days initially, and was unable to complete the documentation required to be regularized with the BID of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

– The French is this: it is the issue of his visa that we are trying to change. He was lazy there and he came with a tourist visa and he couldn’t. When he contacted the CBF, he returned his contract because he has to have a work visa to generate a CPF. Then he didn’t play, he was just training – said the president of Rio Branco-AC, Valdemar Neto, in an interview with ge.

The director also said that the Acre club continues to try to resolve the situation, but the slow process has been a problem. In Brazil, the issuance of a work visa depends on prior approval from the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

As he is not regularized, YGomez has not been involved in any of the club’s seven games this season so far. The player continues training with the squad at CT José de Melo, in the capital of Acre.

According to Valdemar Neto, the tendency is for the French striker to be available for the last games of the second round of the Acre Championship, or at the latest, in the Brazilian Series D, which starts on April 28th.

– We are already making contributions to generate, but no one knows… this business is a bit slow. The forecast is for the Brazilian Championship or the last matches in the state – projects the president.

Rio Branco-AC is the leader of group A in the state with 10 points and is classified for the return. Estrelão returns to the field next Saturday (6) to face Independência, at 5pm, at the Florestao stadium, in the capital, for the sixth and final round of the group.
